1) The vibration I'm feeling makes it seem more dramatic. 2) The riding position which causes for more turbulence than I'm used to on my previous bikes. 3) Me just getting used to a new bike and putting more time in the saddle. Your goals are to have fun, learn how to ride well, and not crash. The BMW will help you do those things extremely well.

The BMW S1000RR inline four cylinder engine is going to vibrate more than the typical Japanese engine due to the fact that the BMW engine does not have a balancer shaft as the Japanese inline fours do. This allows the engine to rev quicker but the trade off is more vibration.
351 posts 路 Joined 2016. #7 路 Apr 13, 2017. I'm a victim. Engine failure at just over 2,500 miles. Bike was down for longer than a month getting complete tear down. Was told at that time back in October that there were 2 other service bulletins either nationwide or worldwide for similar failures.
