I checked the current draw several times with the key off (and out) and it measured 20ma. So I was puzzled. Then one time I was monitoring current draw at the battery, turned on the ignition, then back off. Current draw stayed at 150ma. Huh. It would crank, but would not allow the fuel system to run once you started turning over the engine. Put the key in - it would prime the fuel rails, but once you pushed the start button, the fuel pump would stop.
On my '92 325i it is low on the dash to the right of the steering column. Press it in and see if it pops out taller, or stays in shorter. If it pops out taller then press it again so it stays in. Test to see if windows work. 2) If #1 doesn't solve it, check fuses in the fuse box under the hood.
Nowhere can I find the relay which supposedly is a light green plug with markings ++0452 / 52c. Not able to find a diagram either which shows the exact location for the plug for my model and how to access it. Hoping to first check if this $20 plug is the fault, before having car towed to BMW for what will most likely be a $2-3k repair. IDcLaN.
