Heyall, I was initially having trouble with this game getting the buttons mapped to my xbox one controller properly. I eventually got it working with x360ce.

Igot my wired Xbox 360 controller to work perfectly by just launching the game manually with the Steam\SteamApps\common\Assassins Creed folder. Hope this helps ! EDIT: My wireless Xbox 1 controller works as well !

tryusing steam community configuration if you did not (for AC1), launch steam in big picture mode and use the controller to navigate to the game then click on manage game then controller configuration then press on browse configs go to community then load the config (xbox one controller fix) then apply the configuration. start the

Italready works fine with one as standard. Only if you have a standard official wired Xbox 360 controller, if you have a 3rd party controller, like a Razer Sabertooth or an official wireless controller you need these files, my wired controller broke so I got a Xbox One controller; hopefully this game will work with it.
